Our Founder, Bud Crest
Bud has always prided himself on quality workmanship and attention to detail.
The company he founded in 1967 still reflects these ideals today. Bud Crest built
a reputation in the local building industry as requiring the absolute best from his
employees, sub-contractors and suppliers, while always maintaining a policy of
open communication and fairness. It was this philosophy and insight that grew
Crest Builders from its beginnings as a one man operation to the award winning
company whose name is among the most durable & recognizable home builders
in Pierce County.
After decades in the home building business, Bud now spends his time on other
endeavors but is always available as a vauled source of information and advice.
The current Crest Builders team continues on with the same ideals and vision for
the company that have been learned through the years of working with him.
Our Owners, Mike and Susan Boiter
Mike and Susan began working at Crest Builders in the early 1980's. Not only long
time employees but also family, they purchased the company from Bud in 2000.
Leading Crest Builders into the new century, they continue to operate the company
and build homes with the same attention to detail and focus on quality construction
that has been a #1 priority of Crest Builders since 1967. It is their goal to continue
providing exceptional new homes and service to Pierce County families for many
years to come.
Our Construction Superintendent, Dan Hoffman
Like many young people of his generation in the construction industry, Dan first
worked for Bud Crest as a laborer during the summers while in high school.
In 2005 he returned to the company after many years of being in business for
himself as a framing sub-contractor, during which time he & his partner framed
many of the Crest homes that have been built in the last 20+ years. Dan brings
his extensive knowledge of construction and framing expertise to the team.
Our support Staff, Megan Ernest
With the company since 2004, she is our accounts payable & payroll bookkeeper,
permitting specialist, communications & marketing assistant, estimating & bid
coordinator and receptionist. As the first point of contact for many people who call
or come into our office, she is always professional and willing to find the answer
to any question whether it is for one of us or for a customer.
