Crest Builders, Inc. began doing business in the Tacoma - Pierce County area in June of 1967. During the years the company has built thousands of single family homes and multi-family dwellings in Tacoma, Pierce and Thurston Counties. Developing and building communities of which we can be proud of for years to come has always been a top priority for our company. There are many developments in Pierce County that bear the stamp of Crest Builder's professionalism and commitment to quality. An innovative company, Crest Builders developed and built Pierce County's first planned unit development with narrow lots in 1989. This development, Danbridge at University Place, was the first detached, maintained single-family neighborhood of its kind. This type of development has now become a standard in our area. Crest Builders is a multiple award winner in the home building industry, winning many MAME (Marketing & Merchandising Excellence) for their innovative designs and communities.
Through the years, it has been our commitment to the homebuilding industry and producing a quality product in varied price ranges that has driven the company to persevere and succeed during both good market periods and bad.
Crest Builders has always been a family owned and operated business with Bud Crest as its founder the driving force behind the success and longevity of the company. Bud had always operated the company with a philosophy of honesty and integrity for both our customers and for the sub-contractors, suppliers, banks and other professionals that we do business with on a daily basis. This is the philosophy that continues now that Bud is retired and his children, long time employees Mike and Susan Boiter, purchased the company in 2001.
No strangers to the homebuilding industry, Mike and Susan have been directly and actively involved in the operations of Crest Builders, Inc. for the last 20 years. They have continued operating Crest Builders into this new generation with the same commitment to quality and philosophy for business that has been developed over the company's 40 years of operation.
